Auckland

Auckland, New Zealand – 2017. Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand with a population of about 1.5 million. It is known as the “City of Sails” because of the popularity of sailing. It is a vibrant modern city and the harbour has lots of good shopping, restaurants, accommodation and visitor attractions. We spend several days there prior to our driving tour of the region and returned twice times during the tour.
